OUR SERVICES
Project Management
Scope of services:
- Project Planning and Organization: We will do the initial planning and organization phases of the project, which include a comprehensive project plan, define objectives, set milestones, and establish a timeline for completing various tasks. It is important at this early stage to define team deliverables and clearly communicate this with the professional team.
- Risk Management: Construction projects are often prone to various risks and uncertainties. We identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. This proactive approach minimizes possible costly delays, unexpected issues and abortive costs.
- Cost Management: As the project manager we are responsible for budget management. For this we will recommend the services of a Construction Financial Manager (Quantity Surveyor) that has the specialist view of Project Financial Management. We will ensure accurate reporting by them to the client to ensure the tracking of expenditures ensuring the project stays within the allocated budget.
- Quality Control: Maintaining high-quality standards is crucial in construction. We will oversee quality control measures, ensure adherence to building codes and regulations, and monitor the work to meet the specified standards.
- Communication and Coordination: Construction projects involve various stakeholders, including contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers, and the client. The project manager acts as a central point of contact, facilitating effective communication and coordination among all parties involved. We ensure structured meetings between stake holders, the proper recording of minutes and action plans to ensure a successful project.
- Time Management: Completing a construction project on time is essential. We specialize in the analyses of detailed construction programs to effectively monitor progress, identify potential delays, and take necessary actions to keep the project on track.
- Problem Solving: Inevitably, challenges arise during construction projects. Our extensive experience and expertise enable the team to tackle unforeseen problems promptly, minimizing their impact on the project’s progress.
- Regulatory Compliance: Construction projects are subject to various regulations and permits. We ensure that all legal requirements are met, reducing the risk of penalties or project shutdowns and a proper hand-over to the client upon completion.
- Document control: The compilation of a professional project close-out document that captures the specifications of the project, service contractors, contact details, operational manuals, and guarantee periods to enable the end user an easy reference point to operate the asset in future independently.
- Scope Management: As construction projects progress, there may be changes or additions to the initial scope. We ensure these scope changes are properly and formally evaluated, assess their impact on the project, and make informed decisions with the client’s approval, that is communicated to the entire team to avoid redundant work or delays.
- Financial Control service: Over and above the normal Project management fee, we propose the following client financial control service as part of our reporting to the client that is executed by the Quantity Surveyors in the firm:
- Monthly Cost Reports: This is an invaluable financial cost control management tool to ensure that we keep to the agreed budget. Should there be
changes, we can re-work an up-to-date projection of what our end costs will be, thus always ensuring that as the contract draws to a close, there are sufficient funds to complete the project within the agreed budget. - Management of variations: Not all variation orders have cost implications. Some might have no alteration in the scope of work but have cost implications that need costing agreement, as the contract progresses. This guarantees that we are consistently aware of the final implications.
Stakeholder Satisfaction: Ultimately, the client’s satisfaction is paramount. Our team keeps the client informed about the project’s progress, handles any concerns, and ensures that the end-product meets or exceeds the client’s expectations.
